Sydney Espinoza was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta. She began dance at the early age of three. She left and came back to dance throughout her childhood, and only started to seriously train in grade 10 when she enrolled at Shelley’s Dance studio and studied ballet, lyrical and contemporary dance.

In 2013, Sydney began training in the latin dance genre, specifically Salsa On 2 and Bachata. Sydney’s dance journey has led her throughout North America to train and compete at two of the largest latin dance competitions, the World Latin Dance Cup and World Salsa Summit. Sydney loves to learn, teach, create and choreograph. She loves to combine different genres in one choreography and draws on her Contemporary/ Latin training when creating her Fusion Teams.

Sydney is the founder of edc.STUDIO and envisions a dance school that is challenging yet accepting. She wants the joy of dance to be for everyone and has created technique and flexibility classes for students who have never danced before and need additional training in these areas. She is passionate young lady who believes there is “No day but today” so lets make-Every Day Count!
